Hi! Thank you ever so much for writing me a story.

I'll be updating this letter as I think of things, so maybe bookmark this page and check it every so often, if you want to stay updated on what it says?

So on the boring bit: I'm going to be really boring and typical and get my general likes and DNW's out of the way right now under the first cut (because some of my General DNWs are NSFW or borderline NSFW) and then get into the fun stuff of my fandoms and some potential prompts you can use, discard, twist, ignore, and just do what you will with.

Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman:
Fandom DNWs: Regarding Racism: Please keep any racism against the Cheyenne people or Robert E. and Grace period-appropriate as seen on the show. For help, look at how most of the townsfolk [esp. Loren, Jake and Hank (aka the Idiot-Ball Trio) [excluding the Cooper/Quinn/Sully household and a handful of other folks (mostly on occasion)] and the army [esp. Custer (*growls* Custer, ugh)] treat the Cheyenne and at how the KK Klansmen treat Robert E. and Grace in the episode featuring the KKK and the town's reactions to that treatment.

Regarding Sexism: Look at how a good part of the townsfolk treat Michaela at first [esp. Loren, Jake, and Hank (although Loren and Hank both improve their treatment of her over time and Jake becomes slightly less adversarial towards her given enough time). Also how many guest star/one-off or recurring male visitor characters treat her (calling her "Ms. Quinn" rather then "Dr. Quinn", etc) [also notice how Fred Rogers' character treats her (this guest star turn was his ONLY fictional role AND his only non-self role ever seen on television!) in contrast to most of the other one-off male visitor characters].

Prompts:

Michaela Quinn/Bryon Sully: Doc Mike and Sully. What can I say about these two that hasn't been said by someone somewhere on the interwebs? They're gorgeous, they're so in love and they protect each other and complete each other and understand each other (most of the time). Sully's desperation to get Michaela back in "Abduction I & II" is heart-wrenching and when he says she is his heart-song, I just think "I don't know what that *means* but it sounds romantic. Oh, Sully."

What can I prompt that hasn't been prompted? Just give me anything with these two. Anything at all. Domestic bliss, domestic troubles, wild adventures, calm stolen moments just the two of them with no kids or patients interrupting the moment. anything will make me happy.
Sully/Michaela/Hank Shenanigans are good here too.

Michaela/Hank:
Either something that starts professional and ends up personal or Mike is desperate for some companionship while Sully's away for some reason or other and seeks out Hank for his company. Alternatively JUST GIVE ME PWP Smut between the town doctor and the town saloon-keeper! The UST between these two is off the charts prior to Sully and Mike's engagment (Hank's delivery of the line "What's it like to walk on water, Michaela?" is so much softer then it needs to be considering they were arguing at the time. A lot of his interactions with her are softer in tone and delivery then they need to be). Also Hank is like the second prettiest man in Colorado Springs (Sully is the first, clearly) and Michaela clearly likes pretty men! So yeah just give me whatever you come up with for this pairing, okay? Sully/Michaela/Hank Shenanigans are good here too.

Brian Cooper & Colleen Cooper & Matthew Cooper: These three siblings are your typical older brother, middle sister, younger brother bunch (Matthew's the oldest, then Colleen, then Brian is the baby of the family, well until Katie is born, anyways). But their bond is so strong and lasts though any and everything. Show me what a day in their life is like. Pre-canon, post-canon, missing scene, anything at all.

Matthew Cooper/Ingrid: I NEVER LIKED HOW INGRID HAD TO DIE SO MATTHEW COULD GET A CAREER AND SUCH. She was his True Love (TM) and they should have been able to be happy together. Maybe give me a canon divergence where Ingrid either survives or never gets rabies and she and Matthew get married, start a family and all of that.

Cloud Dancing & Michaela Quinn: Show me more of their relationship and interactions. I love how Cloud Dancing mentors and teaches Michaela about natural remedies and ways to use nature to heal.

Cloud Dancing & Sully: Show me more of their relationship. How did it start? What,exactly, was the blood brother ritual Cloud Dancing and Sully did? Does Sully have a Cheyenne name? What is it? How did he get it? How long did he live with the Cheyenne for? How did Cloud Dancing help Sully after Abigail's death? What did that look like?

The Young Riders:

Fandom DNWs: Regarding Racism: Please keep any racism against Buck, Noah, or the Kiowa (or other Native American Indian tribes) period-appropriate as seen on the show. For help, look at how most of the townsfolk [esp. Thompkins], excluding the Pony Express household treat Buck and the Kiowa and other Native American Indian tribes and Noah. Also regarding Ike: Please treat his disability seriously and with respect. Please pay attention to period-appropriate insults as used on the show. This is important as well.

Running Buck Cross & Ike McSwain: These two have the same sort of lasting and deep relationship as Cloud Dancing and Sully but in a different way and as younger men. They met younger and bonded after joining forces in a brawl.

Now just before I close this letter, here are some notes that I thought I'd drop at the bottom of my letter so as to keep all of them together instead of throwing one or two or several notes in the related fandom sections.

End Notes:

I am Metis (Plains Cree with a bit of Assibone and Obijway mixed with French and some Scottish European ancestry in my case) and I clearly identify with Buck (very closely with Buck's struggle to fit into the Kiowa world and/or the white world and to find his place) and Chatokay (especially his struggles as a young person with his culture and his people's traditions) as well as viewing Cloud Dancing as a very well-written and interesting character. I am also Autistic and so identify with Ike in some ways as well. Please keep these things in mind while creating my gift.
